Quickstart: Knowledge Base

Get up and running with your Knowledge Base in no time. Follow these guides to create, structure, customize, and manage your KB.

Create a Knowledge Base

Your Knowledge Hub is your central hub for all Docs.

To create a Knowledge Base navigate to your left-side dashboard, and click + New Knowledge Base to set it up
Tip: To create multiple Knowledge Bases, ensure your billing plan supports multiple KBs or add extra KBs as add-ons in your Billing plan.

Customize Theme & Branding

Choose a theme, set brand colors, adjust your layout, add calls to action, configure SEO, connect a custom domain, and apply brand presets for video articles.

Tip: Use the Presets option to apply automatic changes to your video article generations instead of adjusting them manually each time.

Homepage

Choose between a default homepage or a custom homepage.

  • Default homepage → Displays your Knowledge Base at the root level in a fixed structure.

  • Custom homepage → Add sections, create custom cards with URLs, upload images, and arrange them in any order.

Structure with Sections, Collections & Docs

Build your Knowledge Base structure to keep everything organized and easy to navigate.

Tip: Think of Sections as categories, Collections as folders, and Docs as your articles.

Organize with Drag & Drop

Drag items in your sidebar to reorder and refine your Knowledge Base structure, or move them directly.

Tip: You can use the dropdown menu to move items directly. Hover your mouse cursor over the item you'd like to move, click the three dots, then select "Move to".

Review and Verify Docs

Save time and improve your content's accuracy with built-in tools to review and verify your Docs.

  • Use the Verification Workflow to review content.

  • Track your review progress in the Knowledge Hub.

  • Use Global Comments to collaborate.

NOTE: Docs in the Common Space area are not tracked in the Knowledge Hub.

Duplicate

You can create copies of your Knowledge Base, Sections, Collections, and Docs.

NOTE: Before duplicating your Knowledge Base, ensure your billing plan supports multiple KBs or add extra KBs as add-ons in your Billing plan.

Delete & Restore Content

Deleted content is moved to Trash and can be restored if needed.

NOTE: Items remain viewable in the Trash for 30 days. After that, they are automatically deleted.
WARNING: Once an item is deleted from the Trash, it is permanently removed and cannot be restored!
