Integrate Confluence

Integrate Confluence account with InstantDocs workspace.

TL;DR

Access Settings
Click Workspace name then Settings to find Integrations.

Connect to Confluence
Click Connect under Confluence and proceed.

Retrieve API Token
Create and copy your API token from Atlassian.

Verify Integration

Paste token in InstantDocs and click Verify.

Import Data

Create a new Knowledge Base and import your Confluence files.

Let's Do It Together!

1. Access Integration Settings

  1. Click on the Workspace name.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Find the Features section and click Integrations.

2. Connect to Confluence

  1. Click Connect under Confluence.

  2. Click Next.

3. Retrieve API Token

  1. Go to your Atlassian account to retrieve your Confluence email Domain API token key.

  2. Under Security, create an API token.

  3. Press View and copy the token.

4. Verify API Token in Instant Docs

  1. Go back to InstantDocs and click Verify.

  2. Once verified, you will see a green check mark and the words API verified successfully.

  3. Click Next.

5. Import Data from Confluence

  1. Hover over your Knowledge Bases and click the + icon.

  2. Give your Knowledge Base a name, decide on the Visibility, and click Import from external platforms.

  3. Click Create.

  4. Select Confluence, then click Next.

  5. Select the files you would like to add, then select Import.

  6. Once files begin importing, click Done.

7. View Your Knowledge Base

  1. After importing, you can view your new knowledge base with all of your documents ready to go.

Troubleshooting

API token not accepted
Ensure the token is copied correctly from Atlassian.

Can I import multiple files?
Yes, select multiple files during the import process.
What if I forget my API token?
You can generate a new API token from your Atlassian account.
